Stop me if you've heard this one before... A Marine officer falls overboard during a battle with some pirates. He's a Devil Fruit user, so he can't swim and has to be rescued by a deckhand. When he's back aboard his ship, he thanks the deckhand and asks how he can best repay his underling for saving his life. The deckhand looks sheepish as he replies. "I think the best reward would be keeping it a secret, sir," he says, "If the other fellows knew I pulled you out, they might push me in!" Dahahahaha!

Strong enough to get drunk after one glass. [He pauses.] For you? Maybe two or three.

[ he raises an eyebrow ]

Yup. The stuff's hard to handle. [But you'll drink it anyway, huh.]

[ it's new booze. so it's an adventure while drinking!! how can he resist? ]

Maybe I should've just kept my mouth shut. [Dammit, Shanks, now he's got to take you home after you get wasted, and Marco's gonna yell at him. NAD YEAH, they're at the bar now, Ace'll just hold the door open for you.]

[ shanks throws his head back and laughs as he enters the bar. ] Don't act like that! It's just a drink, it'll be fine!

[He stares at Shanks for a moment before sighing and taking a seat by the bar.] Don't say I didn't warn you.

[He just orders some rum for himself.]

[ shanks, of course, goes for the ale. he raises an eyebrow at the bright blue color of it, and the fact that the amount he gets for starters is fairly small. he downs a fair amount of it in one swig. ]

... Well.

[Glancing over at Shanks, he smirks at him as he calmly sips his rum.] Told you it's strong. And you went and downed that much in one swig.
